Nemiss
Nemiss walks a defying tight rope, balancing hard hitting precise rhymes with poetic beauty and rapper’s whit. The Hip Hop community has had their eyes and ears open for the next female emcee to step to the plate without being too hussy, too hard or too soft for that matter. The Chicago born and Brooklyn based Nemiss fills that void. Nemiss grew up on the southside of Chicago and recently holds down the fort in one of the most historic black communities in the nation Bed Stuy Brooklyn, home of many famous rappers. Already having graced the stage with reputable artists, she has toured with Black Sheep and opened for several well known acts including the Roots, Gang Starr, and Common, at numerous venues (House of Blues and the Metro), She has recently enchanted audiences at New York's Southpaw and Joe’s Pub.

B side Frankenstein Bio
Brooklyn, NY native B Side Frankenstein (formerly known as Sol) is a talented writer, producer, and vocalist. His introspective and soulful song lyrics are the base of his homemade soul gumbo. His talents have caught the attention of Major Label A&R reps and true soul music fans. The B Side Frankenstein is many styles fused to bring one monster to life; Poetry, raw hiphop, and unique soul music.

Fallon
With a personality and style too unique to be categorized, fallon appeals to those who hear music through their speakers and feel it through their souls. She takes a detour from the industry’s formulaic sound and stifled creativity by pushing the boundaries of the musical landscape. Her infectious brand of hip hop has been known to appeal a diverse set of music fans. Shaped from a palette of artists ranging from Nina Simone to Bjork, Donnie Hathaway to Mos Def, Roy Hargrove to Slum Village, fallon’s sound is not bound by categories. Wise beyond her years, this 22-year old reaches a broad audience with lyrics full of experience and depth rooted in honest emotion. She takes on hip-hop with the intellect of KRS-One and the raw emotion of Mary J. Blige, while adding a new flavor for a generation desperately waiting to reconnect with the music that defines them. Think of the heartfelt energy of Anthony Hamilton bridged with the artistic freedom of Ani Difranco and anchored by the hard-hitting thump of hip-hop percussion. Born in California and now a Harlem transplant, fallon moved to New York City at 17 to pursue a college degree

Ahnfinod: manifestation #3 Lathan Hardy, Saxophones Julianne Carney, Violin and Pedals Ahnfinod is a nonsense word which represents creativity that comes out of chaos. Patterns manifest themselves even in chaos, beauty is possible within chaos, chance can produce something beautiful. Both patterns (structures?) and chaos exist in nature. For creativity to thrive, we need both.

the water. through the structure of familiarity one finds course for the extraordinary, meditations born of stillness reveal the undercurrent of movement, we do nothing and everything still happens, so the hands are off the wheel, and we watch as the machine grinds sacred circles onto the fields of snow, the earth from underneath that was always there, and the patterns born of this intrinsic nature. we are all just along for the ride...

RIDING SHOTGUN MIDNITE
The Boston-based instrumental trio, Riding Shotgun, will be performing all over the east coast  this spring/summer in support of their debut album, "NIGHTfalls" (Random Chance Records).
To draw style comparisons, Riding Shotgun's sound has been likened as a cross between Tortoise, Medeski, Martin & Wood, Radiohead and Pink Floyd. Riding Shotgun originally formed in May of 2002 as an experimental side project among a few close friends. Things quickly evolved into something larger, as a strong musical connection was realized. After releasing a 4-song EP in 2003 (leave by eleven...), performing at venues such as The Middle East and TT the Bear's, and opening for bands like Metric and Drums & Tuba (Righteous Babe Records), the band is proud to announce the release of their debut album on Random Chance Records entitled, "NIGHTfalls". "NIGHTfalls" is an engaging listening experience for fans of rock, jazz and electronic music.

The Physics of Meaning:
The Physics of Meaning is, above all else, an adventure story. It is an adventure story about a guy who believes in time travel, but not the kind of time travel that you find in most adventure stories. It is the kind of time travel that takes place only inside his head, where he is stuck, and where he decides to visit himself as a kid growing up in middle-class America at the end of the twentieth century, in order to try and get unstuck. Along the way, it becomes a story about small towns that get devoured by Wal-Marts, about the fear of losing your parents as they get older, about The Princess Bride and Disneyworld and Charles Wallace Murray, about the relationship between gasoline and poverty, and, most of all, about falling in and out of love.

The Physics of Meaning is also a rotating band that centers around the musical collaboration between songwriter Daniel Hart (The Polyphonic Spree, Ester Drang) and producer Alex Lazara (The Prayers and Tears of Arthur Digby Sellers). A violin player since the age of 3, Hart favors orchestral instruments (violin, oboe, cello, glockenspiel) in his arrangements, which appear throughout the music and serve as a foil to Lazara's engineering expertise with thick guitars, analog keyboards and distorted drums.

Motico: Originally conceived by artist Ray Johnson as "a mailable form of collage that he christened the "motico," favoring its recipients with the private salutations of a man who still required keeping an enigmatic distance" (-CityPages). But that doesn't really have anything to do with the band that we named Motico, unless you want it to mean something. We live in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. We play amusing rock music about how much you've disappointed us.

PILLOW THEORY (Headliner)

ROLLINGSTONE.com described Pillow Theory's sound as "introspective groovalicious pop rock" and OCEAN DRIVE magazine hailed Kelsey as "a full-fledged musical virtuoso and an accomplished songwriter." Jon Cornell (the tattooed bassist from Vegas), Jacob Martinez (Brooklyn’s live-wired secret weapon), Rich Kulsar (stick man from Queensbridge) and Kelsey Warren (singer/songwriter /guitarist from the garden state) come together for an eclectic sound that has drawn comparisons to Seal fronting Nirvana.

BLOOD SUGAR (LA. Based)

Blood Sugar is a rock band that hails out of Oakland California, records and lives in South Central L.A., and makes shit happen whenever. Lead singer Xavier calls the sound Soul Punk, Rock guitar over rebel punk funk grooves to quote him rock & roll from a Negro perspective. They're not fucking around. Xavier is an extremely self-assured veteran of the music scene. He may or may not have been signed to a huge deal with Interscope Records a while back. And guess what, the live show is sick. He says, I try to try combine led Zepplin, Fishbone, Bad brains and Prince with the intensity of the holy ghost

SIGNAL EFFECT

Signal Effect is a reawakening of sound and a celebration of musical genre diversity. Setting themselves apart, sonically; Signal Effect assimilates emotive vocals with insightful and introspective lyrics. The guitar sound is full and melodic, incorporating accents of ethereal and atmospheric effects and tones. The rhythm section provides the backbone to the songs with definitive pulsating grooves. In unison, Signal Effect provides a provocative, memory-staining sound that embraces the limitless, liberal spectrum of sounds through experimentation interwoven into a tapestry of euphonic composition.

FUNKFACE
The ultimate fuse, total groove rock. Mentioned in Fader magazine and in the Vibe as the hardest hitting band in the world also featured in the documentary Afro Punk, as leaders of the black rock scene. Plus they are well know around the world as true stage destroyers ask any stage hand or concert carpenters. Still the band genre bending skills are evident in their multicultural look. All the different experience leads to many sounds that become one. FunkFace is posed for the attack and know one will be spared. FunkFace latest record has all the hard rock you could want, but the addition of a few slow rock ballad open up the band to an area never explored. Still they have created a large symphonic sound a slight throw back to bands like the Verve. FunkFace have played with many bands like the Distillers, Rage against the Machine, Apollo Heights, Bad Brains, Tribe called Quest, Peaches, TV on the Radio, Mike Ladd, and many, many more. Still the best way to experience this poliomyelitis is to shed your fears and succumb to the raging wave that is FunkFace.
